Aries is the brainchild of designer Sofia Prantera and graphic artist Fergus Purcell. Having first met at Slam City Skates in London, the pair enjoyed a shared history across brands like Silas and Palace before launching the unisex Aries in 2011. Educated at Central Saint Martins, Prantera provides the brand an elevated level of detail and craftsmanship, whilst Purcell, the graphic designer behind Palace’s branding, amongst other things, ensures culturally relevant graphics that tap in to urban subcultures. Designs like their iconic ‘No Problemo’ and Temple logo have quickly become important cultural cornerstones, popularised by the likes of Taylor Russell and Zendaya.
